Maybe we found another option!

This is the response from them about the Iplud-RDS:

Dear Brian

The iplug-RDS is compatiable to all BMW, we would also like which iPod will
you be use also?

If you look at the instructions you will see that it uses an FM modulator to broadcast the iPod music to the car's receiver But where the heck would you find the FM antenna cable in the 7 wouldn't be easy. Something tells me it won't ne conveniently located behind the NAV screen.
AND, the RDS data that displays at the bottom of the NAV screen is hardly readable in 10 point font. So, I would say this is not going to be a great solution, but it should work.

Good points, Jerry. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to a m0bridge, and trying to do without the extra screen like the Harman Kardan Drive and Play.
