Windshield wipers not working and keep blowing fuses

2001 Z3 2.5i, Trying to troubleshoot my windshield wipers. They keep blowing fuses. Motor was working fine then all of sudden it started blowing fuses. Now every time I try and switch them on the 15A fuse blows.

Which fuse is that? Here's some posts about Fuse 44:

... the radio/wipers go dead... radio and the wipers share #44... fuse 44 had blown again...
... to the dealer this morning. They found the short in the switch on the steering wheel column for the wipers!!!

UPDATE: I have been doing some troubleshooting. Fuse 44 blows as soon as I turn the ignition to position one. I have disconnected the ditch in the steering column, still blows. I have disconnected the washer pump, still blows. I have changed the relay, still blows. Only thing left is the wiper motor. I have read that there is a micro switch inside the motor that seems to go bad. Anyone have any experience with this? Is there a wiper control module and if so, where is it located?

Wiper motor switch mentioned in #2 in here:

Control unit for wiper washer in eBay:

And from ECST:

Located behind glovebox, but is called a relay in the attached instructions. I wonder if either the switch or the module can short the fuses.
