Is it worth buying a 99k mile 325is in 2019, family seller wants $800 and supposedly all it needs is a new battery and doorpanels aside from paint and a few other cosmetic issues, side note it is a 5 speed manual with no check engine light

I don’t see why not. Never take a sellers word. Get a pre purchase inspection done by someone who knows how, it’s an old car.

It depends on what you mean by "worth"?
Are you to profit from it? No
Is it going to cost you? Yes
So it will depend if you get pleasure from restoring, maintaining and driving this car.

Um. :eeps:

The outward appearance of a car speaks volumes about how the owner(s) maintained it. Despite the low mileage, I would assume a 25-year-old car in poor cosmetic condition is in poor condition throughout, poised to drain my bank account as deferred maintenance takes its toll.
