I've been slowly working on a 2001 X5 4.4l for about a year. I got it for almost nothing and it's been a project after I decided to peruse a new career. Luckily I've had easy access to a donor vehicle. My last big mechanical issue is the brakes/ABS/DSC. The original ABS module was garbage. Not only did it not work, it was physically damaged so companies that rebuild said it wasn't salvageable. Now that I have brake fluid to all corners, I want to recode the used module to my car.

So the question I have for everyone... from what I read NCS Expert is what I should use. Should I download V67 from NCS-Expert.com? I've watched some videos and the version I have on my laptop seems to be different from what I see in some of these videos. Or is there a better version/way to do this. I do understand that there is a possibility I won't be able to re-code it, but I'd like to give it a try anyway.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
