Hi,

2011 X5 E70, N55.

When replacing engine oil cooler gasket, I took off the cylinder head to thermostat water hose and found its head broken. very common defects. I saw many tried to guess the size of the O ring, so post the pictures of the broken and new water hoses here.

The new water hose from BMW dealer costs $110.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi, boostedX5SAV,

Does this aluminum hose fitting fits N55 engine? The product description only lists N54/N53/N52 engines. I had asked few ebay sellers, they didn't know themselves.

Thanks,
-Nick

...Others have recommended changing the plastic fitting for an aluminum one so it doesn't fail. Like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-1153754...-/113395810749
