I've only had my 2004 530i for about a week now and haven't driven it at night. I do have Xenons, but my question is, do all the xenon light equipped cars also have the adaptive headlights, or is the adaptive another option on top of the xenons?

If it has Xenon's, they are adaptive. Make sure they are in automatic mode.

In the US, adaptive function is included with xenons. Switch has to be on auto-mode and you have to be moving forwards (it only swivels right when you're stationary, doesnt move at all when you're in R)

Finally drove the car tonight, really like the adaptive headlight feature. In the 2002 745i I came out of, the adaptive headlights were surpisingly a stand alone option which mine didn't have. The option was only around $300 but very few of the 7's I looked at had that option.
