Hi all,
I have a 2002 E53 4.4 V8.
I had the good old trifecta ABS module issue a few months back.
Had it refurbed (eventually) by BAA Reman, and reinstalled.
All lights went off! Wooo!
However...
Ever since it was done if I take a corner a bit too quickly and/or traction kicks in, the lights will come back on and sometimes I get the message "DSC deactivated"
After a restart of the car they go away and all is good again.
Reading the code with a 1.4 thingy I get "Yaw rate sensor, open circuit"
Is it likely a faulty yaw rate (rotation rate) sensor or just that the module was not repaired correctly as there are other possible errors e.g. "Yaw rate sensor fault"?
I can get a second hand sensor for a few quid and I know it's under the center console but before I start ripping the interior up, would I be wasting my time?
Thanks.
