Guys . . . there are consequences to not letting people in the lane or staring people down . . . most of the time it's nothing but sometimes it's a guy who tailgates you, other times it's an idiot who follows you, sometimes they key the car, etc. etc.

Just hope the A--hole isn't carrying a gun and decides to use it.

What do you need to prove yourself to this inconsiderate guy/kid for ? ?

I see no reason in the world to go out of my way to start trouble with people. When you guys come across idiots like this, just say to yourself that this idiot will get their's one day when they mess with the wrong guy . . . do you want to be THAT guy ?

Who the H*ll wants to be THAT guy, he's the one that ends up getting arrested and that little 5 minute incident now becomes a 5 month to 3 yr incident between getting charges pressed against you, getting sued for assault, possible Jail time, etc.

So next time you see that dummy who starts trouble, think to yourself that he has the problem not you and let it be HIS problem.

We all hear about crazy things on the news . . . let it be other people that go through that crap . . . we have our own families and friends to watch out for.

So you're one of those people who just assumes that "some one else" will take care of people like this? If everyone did that, then people like that kid WILL get the S**T kicked out of them. Maybe they can GET THE MESSAGE before hand, and wise up a little. Make them THINK about their behavior a little. I dunno - I'd rather be an EDUCATOR rather than a BYSTANDER.

But I agree - aggression, threats or violence is never an answer. Some days I just plain loose patience with such thoughtless, self-centered and inconsiderate behavior that has become so prevelent in kids these days
Come on Geo, do you really think you taught that kid a lesson . . .

I've known you long enough to know your a sensible guy so don't let this get to you. All I am saying is that you ARE the bigger man so you can walk away without feeling like you've been disrespected.

I mean, isn't that what this stuff is all about anyway . . . respect ??

When you get a little older and you have a wife and children, your outlook on life changes dramatically . . . what looked like a person who just disrespected you was really some insecure idiot that you never needed to prove yourself to in the first place.

I've got TOO much to lose and come to think of it so do you.

Peace

Haven't any of you given a lecture to someone who was blatently rude to either you, and friend or family member??
Definitely have !!

I'm from the Long Island where everyone thinks the world owes them something . . . you could open the door for them and they will walk right through without saying thank you and everytime that happens I always say loudly 'your welcome' . . .

They treat clerks like crap . . . it's so rude and pathetic.

I've gone out to dinner where the person at my table will jump on the waiter's case like he's their slave, as soon as the waiter leaves, I'll jump on their case and of course not go out to dinner with them again :)

So beleive me, I understand where your coming from . . . sheesh I use to be that wise guy kid who did whatever I WANTED . . . thank goodness I've changed . . .

In Boston, there's so much frigg'in red tape to get a gun, and your record has to be spotless - I mean ajax clean. And even if you do get a permit to carry and conceal, people would flip out if they saw you with a gun. Yet all the crooks have'em.
Same here in New York beleive it or not . . . we just have a bad reputation . . .

Geomax - That is really Messed up . . . what in the world could be worth putting their kids in danger like that . . .

Some people are so screwed up . . . what was the guy gonna do if he caught up to you . . . yell ? ?

Forunately you got a way from them . . .

I remember once when I was 18 yrs old, I went to pull into a parking spot at my College Campus and there was an older man in an Oldsmobile wanting to pull into the same spot from the other side. I sincerely didn't realize it until I was out of my car walking to class, I kinda noticed he was looking at me strangely . . . anyway I went to my class and when I came out, I see my taillight was kicked in and it was obvious the kick was done with a shoe with a heel on it. You could tell from the damage.

It was also obvious it was this guy who did it . . . who else wears healed shoes at college ?!?!

Anyway, I started going to the same parking area on the same day of the week and at the same time it happened and I spotted the Guy. I then followed him to his class to make sure he actually was in a class.

Many months went by and I waited until the last week of college . . . then one night (did I mention it was an evening class) I followed him to his class, made sure class started and he was busy, I then went to his car with a hammer and smashed the Sh*t out of both his taillights . . . heh heh heh
I still laugh when I think how he had to drive home that night with no taillights . . .

Would I do that now . . . NEVER . . . but I was 18 yrs old and when your young you do these crazy things . . . Also, at that age your too busy thinking about yourself and you aren't aware of other people like I am now.

I like this one.
What is there to like about this ?

It goes under the whole premise where this discussion began which is teaching the other guy a lesson. . . One day he's going to do that to an uncapable driver who is going to panic and have an accident and god willing the person hopefully won't get killed . . .
