We will have to replace our old car soon (Honda civic) and I'm not sure which BMW to go for. We already have our X3 and we are looking for a sedan. The more I look at them, the more they look alike so I would like to know: Which model do you like best and why?

Well, the 5 series is a bit of everything. It is not a boat, handles well, has both I6 & V8 versions, I am personally just a 5 kind of guy.:bigpimp:

Get a late model E46 3-series. AWD is available if you need it. The 330i/330xi has a 3 litre I6 that's a bit punchier and sounds a bit better, and come with more standard features. If I had my way, I'd say a black/black/aluminium 330ci coupe, 6MT, sport, xenons, H/K sound, and 18" double-spoke alloy wheels would be THE perfect car for me to have.

If I wanted an executive sedan, a '03 540i M sport, 6MT, black/black, premium sound would be perfect.

It really depends on what your needs, values and budget is.

For me: I'm waiting to get the 2009 335i (or whichever year the facelifted model is). I love the nimbleness and drive of smaller cars. It accomodates 3-5 people reasonably well (unlike the Lexus IS). Price of fully loaded is less than big brother models (5 and 7 series). At the end, it's a great BMW.

I'd actually buy my car in your position, albeit maybe lower mileage if you can afford it.

325xi - Its the perfect daily driver.

If you want speed, get a coupe. Youre already getting a sedan, so youre not a racer, the 2.5L engine will give you plenty of power, even on hills. Lots of room in the back, the XI on the trunk says you can take it skiing or to work in the winter, and the sport package says you can open the sunroof and have fun in the summer.

Ideal daily driver, fun fun fun. Not too expensive.
