Z3 Oil leak
I just had my recently purcahsed 2002 Z3 on a lift for NYS inspection. We noticed a small oil leak from some kind of sensor on the bottom of the oil pan. Any ideas where that is coming from?

Without a picture to see exactly what you are talking about, it sounds like it might be the oil level sensor. Mine started leaking a couple of years ago (apparently not uncommon). If I remember correctly the repair cost was about $300, and you need to change the oil since you have to drain the oil to replace the sensor.
