I changed out the seat belt chime (black/red wire) with the emulator bypass and course the seat occupancy mat sensor failed to communicate as advertised. Anywho, I screwed up the black connector and now I need another (connector). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong in my assumptions that these should be a common item and if not where can I get one or two?

There may be a part number molded into the connector. Go to FCPeuro, ECSTuning or PelicanParts and search the number. Because of the age of the car, don't be surprised at the price you may have to pay. The screw covers on the console sides (about an inch in diameter) are nothing but a flat piece of plastic with three tabs to hold it in place.... $35 EACH!

Short of that, contact your BMW Stealer!
