I am about to replace the Eccentric Shaft Sensor on my wife's 07 Z4.

First thing I see advised is to disconnect the battery. This job will take at least 1 week. I'm going to order parts after I know what I need. So can I use my memory saver to save the computer memory after disconnecting the battery? Or should I just disconnect the battery and let the computer "re learn" after the job is done?

Any good threads on valve cover removal for the N52?

This is a good one that covers both the VCG and the ESS. It's on a X3 but once he gets the X3 trim out of the way everything after that is the same as the Z4.
