Hey a friend of mine has a 740il and days te transmission is slipping. We are tight on money and want to know, is it true that the fluid can only be added once on a lift? Also how much does fluid cost!

I'm not familiar with E32 transmissions, but if they have a ZF 5HP30 like I think they do, you will need to be under the car to drain and fill the transmission.
You should check out www.E38.org and check out the fill procedure for the transmission. It is for the E38 (1995-2001), not the E32, but I think it would still apply.
