Hey everyone. I've got a 2007 328xi with just about 140K miles on it. It is my wifes car, and she complained about a week ago that it was kind of jerky when she accelerated. She drove it for a few days before I could take it out for a spin.
When I drove it, i noticed the jerking also. It was very light, almost like a misfire but i cant tell if its misfiring or if its the transmission slipping.
She then took it out shopping and said that it lost a lot of power and the service engine soon light came on. i told her to put it in manual mode and downshift to try to get more power. she did that and the service engine soon light went off and the car no loger jerked.
I drove it to work today with a code reader with me. I aslo had the same problem happen to me, but before i could pull into a parking lot to check the code the service engine light went off and the car was acting OK (aside from some light slipping or misfiring).
Any suggestions?
