Hi Guys and Gals
I see that BMW Group has released the BMW Connected Android App- which google play will not allow you to download unless you have a galaxy S4 or Nexus 4. I would like to toot around with the app on my google play developer edition HTC One- which I believe should work. I take delivery of my new 2014 X3 tomorrow, and I'd love to have this APK.

Does anyone have a Galaxy S4 or Nexus 4 and would be able to download the installer .apk file from the google play store and send me the file or link to the file?

Just go to the google play store, install the application and locate the com.bmwgroup.connected.bmw.apk file which I believe is stored in the phones /data directory.

I would appreciate any help!

Thanks
Jeff

I have an S4. PM me your e-mail address and I'll send the APK.

I hope you have more luck than I did. The app doesn't even recognize that the phone is connected to the car. I saw some iPhone users complaining about integration with the car, but Android support is even worse. I've got basic Bluetooth and streaming audio, but can't see SMS or emails. And I coded the "inband ringing," but no dice, even though streaming music works.

Yeah, I'm not sure why BMW devotes so much time and attention to the iPhone since Android now outsells it dramatically. They need to shift their priorities, IMHO.

By the way, before the flame wars begin, I'm not trashing the iPhone, just stating the fact that it is no longer the top seller, and in fact hasn't been for some time.

Could I also get the APK? I just purchased a i328 2 days ago (so well after July 2013). I am hoping it might work with my droid ;)

Thanks :)

The link seems to be for BMW Remote which works great. Do you have a link for BMW Connected?

Thank you!!

Ditto - I was looking for BMW Connected, not My BMW Remote :)

Though it's nice to have My BMW Remote :)

Downloaded with Galaxy S4, extracted with APK extractor, uploaded to uploaded.to

Link below, enjoy! (Tested working on HTC One)

Downloaded... website has popup SPAM. Finally was able to download and then copied .APK file to S3 and got a parsing error with the package. I tried two different installers with no luck. Earlier in the week, I was able to install the BMW remote app with no issues. But this link and file is suspicious - plus the poster has only 3 total posts on the site with no reference to owning a BMW.

Can someone repost a cleaner link to the BMW Connected .apk file or email me the file.

Thanks,

Thanks for posting guys!

I converted both the Remote and Connected .apk's to .bar's, and sideloaded them into my BlackBerry Z10, and neither worked.

I am running BB OS 10.1. If anyone is running 10.2 with Jelly Bean, please see if they work for you.

I can only tell you it works on my HTC One, had to borrow the S4 of a colleague to download it.

Uploaded.to is not a suspicious site, but a widely used filehoster.

What more reference of owning a BMW do you need? My profile shows that I own a BMW E61 550i with the N62B48B engine...

Can also tell you that I have a retrofitted combox, but I cant get the BMW Connect app to hook up to it. That is not an app issue by itsself thoug. Might have to recode the BMW apps link wihtin the menu.
