catastrophic cooling system failure eminent

fix it before your buying a engine..

bmw dont eff around when it comes to cooling system failure

 

Any idea what's that part called?

more than enough information in that link to gather what those parts are. you should really look at a full cooling system overhaul though pending your mileage and if you haven't replaced all the parts to the system already.

thats a bleeder... and part of the hose (on your 6cylnder)

but yeld to these words.. your in trouble

has nothing to do with milage.. in your case.. the parts are old and orginal..

your going to get cought out there and when you do, if your lucky you wont need a engine when its all done

 

is that bleeder on the radiator coolant overflow tank? i can't tell from the photo. but i do see in one of the photos that there's traces of coolant all over the side of your radiator coolant overflow tank, like it was pouring out of that. is there a crack on that anywhere? you'll have to replace that overflow tank if you find any crack; it's not expensive at all. but you have to do it very soon. to replace it is also not hard.
