Please only post your module reference and what you have successfully coded.

DO NOT post problem or question about how it is done in here, we have other thread for that.

I propose syntax:
CONDING DESCRIPTION - MODULE NAME
VARIABLE:
VALUE:

anybody has the code to allow the car to be operated while the door is/are open ?

^^ You mean have the car not put the transmission in park? No, but you could use NCS dummy on the EGS or CAS module to see if there is something in there that would work.

is this code working for the E70 ? I am trying to see if we can enable the windows control when the doors are open and ignition is off.

Let the windows go automaticly up, when the door is opened (Normally you have to hold the button all the time up, till the window is closed when door is open).
Module: NFRM
TUERAUF_STOP_MAUT -> nicht_aktiv
Code is FH_TUERAUF_STOP_MAUT_3R for 2011

That is how it works - if you can find it that somebody did it that mean it works, if not - you can be first :) Try and report back, I might be interesting in few of those as well but have no time to try...

So I see that this thread has been dormant for over 4 years, but I'd like to revive it. Nobody has answered kingloose's question and I have been unable to find an E70 coding cheat sheet through my own searching. Consequently, I have started putting together my own E70 cheat sheet.

I've been gathering coding options that I have found here and other BMW forums, along with the general list of coding options from the Carly website. I've been trying to fill in the functions and settings based on the modules from my own 2012 LCI E70. Obviously this approach limits the number of coding options I am able to validate. For example, I have a CIC so I can't validate any of the CCC coding options, and I don't have a HUD.

This is very much a work in progress, but I have uploaded my current results to Google, and I'm asking for any help that anyone would be willing to provide. Here is the link to the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16k2TDIz0qLVE9KHZ25KAaLESk4WPIfSTDkhelpeN_EA/edit?usp=sharing

Anybody can read and comment. I'll incorporate additional information into this spreadsheet as I get it. If you'd like to update the spreadsheet directly, PM me and I'll give you update access.

Thank you!

Hey thanks for reviving the thread for a great cause. I am currently awaiting my E70 35d to arrive on transport while my last BMW was the E92 M3 which I did lots of coding. The VMs and all are long gone but I'm putting everything together to code the E70. As soon as it arrives I can start contributing to the sheet. Looking forward to working together.

klwill, I'll help out if I can. Do you happen to have the seat heat distribution feature or multi-contour seats on your 2012?

I've just started poking around with coding my 2011 LCI E70 after a trailer hitch install. Everything went smoothly including remote coding, until I found out I was missing my seat heat distribution menu in iDrive. I've figured out how to get the menu to reappear but I'm currently locked out of adjusting the distribution.

Thanks for the offer to help!

No, I don't have multi-contour seats in my 2012 LCI x35i (option 456). I looked in my CIC module and found a few options that might be applicable, however:
HVAC_SEATHEAT_DISTR_FRONT
HVAC_SEATHEAT_DISTR_FOND
HVAC_SEATCLIMATE_LED
HVAC_POPUP_SEATCLIMATE

These are all set to nicht_aktiv in my module.

I've set the seat climate pop up and seatheat_distr_front to active, resulting in a popup for a few seconds displaying seat heating, cooling levels and distribution but was unable to change the distribution. No menu appeared in iDrive climate either. I deactivated the popup, and now the menu is available in iDrive but still no functionality. Seatheat_distr_fond is the rear seat heating option which I don't have, and now I'm looking into the sitzheizung and other seatheat options. I've found several including some with _slider, but I believe that specific one enables you to change seat heat level using the iDrive controller and not just the dash button. Need to make a matrix with all options to keep track of the combinations I test.

I don't think you can code through ncsexpert using a bt adapter.
The protool program itself is more click to use, you don't need to find the code names etc.

EDIT - This is for the N63 (twin turbo V8), not sure about the smaller motor cars.

Have you guys coded out the efficient dynamics yet? It disables the stupid system that only charges the battery while you are coasting or idling. Best find yet! It is the first option in the first module listed in NCSExpert. It starts with an 8. There are very few options in the that module (maybe only one?) But it is the first one. Change it to "not active" and that is it.

I found it a while back and have been meaning to spread the word, but have been working on my E63 since pulling and rebuilding the motor. I will try to get the E71 in the garage long enough to lookup the actual name of the module and option, But it is the first option of the first module.

I tested it as well. I ran torque with a dongle while driving before and after. Before the change volts would drop from 14.5 to 12.2 every time I touched the gas. Now they increase from 14.5 to 14.9 when I accelerate and I don't go through batteries annually anymore :)

I don't have the same view as I'm using bimmercode.

I'm trying to figure out which module has that feature. I might be able to find it from the names in the screen shots. I will most definitely post the results.

As I drive short trips a lot some weeks my poor battery will end up below 60% soc until i go for a long drive.

I don't want to mess with my 24+ highway or my 21+ average but I will love to try setting the alternator to normal for a while.

I'll be writing bimmercode soon as I can't gets into an important module to switch from TPMS to FTM. (I have all but one flag flipped can't get into one module to finish. )

Hoping that this won't be the same issue and I can get into the module needed for the alternator hack.

You can buy NCSExpert and a cable for less than $50 if that other thing doesn't work. Once running you can see every module for sure. Good luck

I don't use Windows. Really hoping to avoid using it but I may have to at least meet up with somebody for some coding.

I've done 99% of what I was interested in fixing with bimmercode. It's amazing but the full BMW program suite does for sure have it's perks.
