car door gives me electric shocks

since i haven't found articles about that i started new thread here.
when i'm touching the door(outside metal portion) after driving for a while it gives me electric shock
what can u say,what can i check myself before i go to mechanic

If this started happening only after you upgraded to the new, poorly performing amplifier that you mentioned in another thread, I would investigate a cause and effect relationship between the two events, something like a bad ground for the amplifier, perhaps.

I had the same issue with my 325I. Turned out that the tires did not contain enough rubber content to dissipate the static electricity buildup from the rotation of the wheels. The residual remained in the frame/body and discharged when you touched the car. Changed all 4 tires to brand with higher rubber content and the problem went away.

Check your tires and percent of rubber vs top of the line tires. May not be your problem but it worked for me.:thumbup:
