I have a 2008 528i with 75K miles and while turning slow speeds there's an intermittent clicking noise coming from the steering column. It isn't coming from the suspension components and just annoying. anyone else experience this and any fixes?

Yes. Sometimes sounds like crackling or even glass being crushed. It's been happening for a month or two but I never figured it out. One of the posts stated that they took it to BMW and some somewhere gease was applied under the dash and it fixed the problem. Seems related to the steering mechanism somewhere. I'll probably never fix it unless somebody comes up with a solution that works. I have bigger problems with my car to solve right now. Ha ha. Good luck to you.
