Hi.

Does anyone know if it's possible to code in a Equalizer to the i-Drive? I have HIFI-pro/Navi-pro but no EQ. Have tried to activate Logic7 and B&O but with no luck so far. The B&O came up in "Tone" but didn't do anything, Logic7 didn't show up at all.

Question two; is it possible to code in lane change warning or lane deviation warning by not having this as default? I have Automatic Headlight Beam and Speed Limit Info as standard in my car, and I have the camera back of the rear view mirror.

And what other cool things can be coded to show in the i-Drive/speedo or Head-Up display?

For the US cars I think you have to have the Driver Assistance Plus package to have the lane change warning and lane deviation warning. Don't know about the Euro spec cars, sorry. Hopefully one of your Euro brethrens can help.

The equalizer requires the HK or BO system. Those systems are digital and integrated into the MOST bus, whereas the other systems are analog so the equalizer cannot be accessed.

Essentially, yes. You'd need to run a fiber optic cable from the head unit to the trunk, then swap out the amp for one that supports the iDrive EQ. You'd probably want to replace the standard speakers as well. There are better options by staying analog that would give you a more capable system without using the EQ in the iDrive.

While Speed Limit Info (SLI) requires an FSC to activate, lane deviation warning (LDW) can be activated by coding alone. You already have the needed KAFAS camera (part of auto-headlamp & SLI), but I am unsure whether your vehicle has vibrating steering wheel.

The list is too long to write out all that can be coded in idrive head unit. For HUD, I am not sure what is already present; however, things like turn-signals, navigation junction-view, telephone and entertainment details, and distance info can be programmed.

You dont know the code for lane deviation warning? Could try that. I have a big electric motor connected to the steering in the engine bay. Don't know if this has something to do with that?

In the HUD i already have coded turn signals and telephone & entertainments details. Navigation junction was there when I bought the car.
What is distance info? Does it have something to do with the navigation?
