Hi guys,

I am thinking of installing coilovers on my m140i that currently has adaptive suspension.
Is it possible to code out the adaptive suspension so no errors show up?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance :)

Remove 2VF Adaptive M suspension from FA and VO Code DSC, KOMBI, ICM, and HU_NBT. F8x M3/M4 have to have the EDC/VDC module disconnected for the M1/M2 to work, if 2VF is removed from the VO. Not sure if M140i is same.

I don't need any screen shots. You just need to do as I wrote. Modify FA accordingly, and VO Code the affected ECU's.

Just press and hold the Ctrl Key, and then select multiple ECU, and then select Code.

Thank you very much for the guide, now i understand what to do.
Coilovers should arrive in the next few weeks now i'm prepered :)

On a different matter, i have installed the m-performance LSD, do you know if I need to code out the e-diff? and if i do where / what do i need to change?

Thanks again for your help!!

Hi, sorry for dig up this post again but I have a M135i and have some doubts.
I've read that is necessary to unplug the cable from the EDC module, is that correctly? Where's the location of this module on a F20?
I wanna to use regular shocks and disable my adaptive suspentions. If I do it is it possible to enable it again doing the reverse process?

Thanks!!

Hey @shawnsheridan I've got an interesting one here, where I'm trying to do the opposite.
The car was a Japanese import to New Zealand, and they've flashed the car to be Australian, but it appears the one they used disabled the Adaptive suspension.
It's definitely physically installed, I've done the opposite of your post in this thread, and added 2VF and coded the mentioned modules, but the car now just gives a error for the Chassis.
I do now have the option in iDrive to setup the sports mode now and turn off/off chassis, and I can actually feel the difference in the steering. But am yet to take it for a drive and see if the suspension is working, due to the error it now provides.
Any advice on what I may need to change/enable?

Check FA and see how it compare to original FA. It may be different or more than just 2VF. If FA is wrong, correct FA and Code car. Coding may not be enough though, it may need to be flashed with correct FA.

Every decoder I put it in shows it as having it, plus it has the shocks for it 🤔

Strange. I cant speak for Aftermarket VIN Decoders. What I pulled is straight from BMW Server.
