So i got some ebay DIS software :p I'm a total noob at it though and don't understand alot about it, but anyways thought I would have a go at it. The good news is, somehow it fixed my cd changer lol But I have some faults that came up that I'm not sure what they mean, what to look at or what they are. So if you could give me any information on the following I would really appreciate it :D

The screen looks like this:
Contents of defect code memories
(not selectable or deletable)

Wheel-slip - No communication possible
Park - No communication possible (Now with this one, I assume this is for the PDC, and I know for a fact that it works, so I'm not sure why it came up)
Telephone - No communication possible (I think my ulf module is dead)
MOST - FFF3 MOSTSYS: MOST system analysis: 1 fault found
FRM - 9CB6 FRM: Headlight vertical aim control coil break - -- - Fault currently not present
CDC - 9D2B CDC: Changer mechanism, magazine ejection - -- - Fault currently not present
DMW - 2EF5 DME: Map thermostat, activation - Open circuit - Fault currently not present

Then I went to the next screen which gave what looks like to me a bit more information:

MOST - FFF3 MOSTSYS: MOST system analysis: 1 fault found
- System analysis of MOST ring B6500_61166
Park - No communication possible
- Supply, PDC Park Distance Control B6621_PL2003
CDC - 9D2B CDC. Changer Mechanism, magazine ejection - -- - Fault currently not present
- CD Changer B6512_CDCMAG
Wheel-slip - No communication possible
- Supply, DSC Dynamic Stability Control B3450_L2_VERS
FRM - 9Cb6 FRM: Headlight vertical aim control coil break - -- - Fault currently not present
- Swivel module B6300_87027
DME - 2EF5 DME: Map thermostat, activation - Open circuit - Fault currently not present
- Map thermostat B1214_NG6KFK
Telephone - No communication possible
- Telephone supply B8400_00350

Now with the FRM, my vertical headlight adjustment is not working, is this swivel module part of the headlight assembly, because I'm going to be replacing the whole headlight soon anyways ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys :)

Sounds like you software isn't working with whatever combination of cables and
and rev of software you have.

Are you having problems with your car?
I am only looking at coding and diags but the below links could be helpful.
Was the car running when you ran the diags?

What was wrong with the cd changer?
No, no real problems with the car. Apart from bluetooth and cd changer not working, coming up as --. The cd changer started working but has gone crap again after I disconnected it lol

The car was not running when I ran the diag. Ill have a look at the links thanks :)

I think I might have to get some other software.

I think you may need a Bently repair manual

http://bmwcoders.com/forum/3-er-8/bmw-e90-e91-e92-e93-291/

If there is a fault on one of the Busses it could cause all kinds of errors
even if only one module on the Bus is bad.

I think you need to check out your diag setup on a working car.

When you said No,no real problems did you mean there were no actual problems except for the cd changer.

I don't know where I could test it on another car :p

Yeah, there are no actual problems with the car from what I can tell. No dash lights, starts fine, runs fine, drives fine.

Just cd changer and bluetooth are dead.

I cleared all the faults and re-ran the test. It was very different this time.

All I got was
MOST system ring break
CD No communication
TCU no communication

I have a feeling that the MOST ring break is due to the CD Changer being dead.

I also think the coil break for the vertical headlight adjustment will come back in a day or two, we will see and we will see if the thermostat thing comes back as well.

Thought I would give a bit of an update on this. I will keep updating this until all the issues are resolved, for that future e90 owner :D or someone who is having the same issues atm.

Wheel-slip - No communication possible
- After clearing the code it never came back again. I'm 99% sure this came up, because I drifted the car once (Had to try it, stop judging me :p).

Park - No communication possible (Now with this one, I assume this is for the PDC, and I know for a fact that it works, so I'm not sure why it came up)
- After clearing the code, this never came up again. I think the ignition might have not been on, when I tested it. So not sure. Point is, it hasn't come back.

Telephone - No communication possible (I think my ulf module is dead)
- Ordered new bluetooth module.

MOST - FFF3 MOSTSYS: MOST system analysis: 1 fault found
- This is the ring break, I'm pretty sure its happening because of the dead cd changer. Will update.

FRM - 9CB6 FRM: Headlight vertical aim control coil break - -- - Fault currently not present
- This one I'm still not sure, I think the foot rest module just needs programming, apparently updating the cars software fixes this issue. Have ordered new version of SSS of ebay as my image has some stupid communication problem. -- Will update. Also when I ran through the test for this issue in DIS, the computer was able to adjust the headlights up and down.

CDC - 9D2B CDC: Changer mechanism, magazine ejection - -- - Fault currently not present
- CD changer worked for a while after disconnecting battery, then it died again. Has never worked since and now the error says no communication possible. Have ordered new cd changer.

DMW - 2EF5 DME: Map thermostat, activation - Open circuit - Fault currently not present
- Have ordered new thermostat.

Stay tuned :)

Ok, another update :p

Have replaced the CD Changer and Bluetooth module. They work as intended now, so they clearly were broken. It has also cleared the MOST bus error, as I suspected it was coming up because the CD Changer is part of the MOST system.

All I have left now is this FRM headlight crap, will update when fixed :)
