These look like errors logged in the CID.
What does that have to do with an update?
Is there a way to just apply a sledgehammer?

Or how about this: Clear out the errors. I thought clearing DTCs would be rid of crap like this.

I don't care if it nukes the CID at this point, just force the miserable POS to update. If it dies, they're cheap, and I'll just replace it with a new one.

Basically, whatever this is, it is also preventing ISTA from calculating a measures plan for a software update. What rationale is there to allow a non-critical component like a display to completely prevent a vehicle update? Why can't ISTA just clear out the errors or provide an explanation (it shows up as green in the ECU tree)?

I've asked elsewhere nicely for the latest psdz folder, but I don't think what I have is so far out-of-date that a display from 2014 is going to foil the whole effort.

 

The dealer software is for genuinely original vehicles that decides how the updates should be done and will not do so if something is not within the norm.

 

Will try that when time permits...
