I have recently retrofited my F45. I added ACC and LDW, these options works fines. I also added TJA 5AR but it doesn't work.
At first my F45 had 5AV and 544 on SALAPA. I removed them and i Added 5AT, 5DF, and 5AR and vo coded KOMBI, ENTRYNAV, SAS, DSC, BDC BODY

My steering wheel was changed by steering wheel M with detection touch and I also changed my SZL by SZL with the connection for Heated steering even if my steering wheel is not heated.

if i push the button of TJA, the car say "Traffic Jam not available". Also I changed parameter on SAS to make it work TJA for all road but nothing.

On ISTA i have 1 errors :
- 030351 : SZL Wrong version but i think its nothing because the vibrator is working fine (or maybe I'm wrong ?)

I have navigation with 6UP Navigation Plus. I also coded line on SAS for working TJA on all road.
At first, i have message "TJA available only on highway" and when I go on the highway i have "TJA not available"
Next after the coding on sas for working on all road, I have just "TJA not available"

 

I think you didn’t have HOD in your steering wheel, maybe you can install HOD emulator to test. check error codes in ISTA .

Vedeli by ste pomôcť s kódovaním 5AS. Stále sa mi nedarí nakódovať detekciu chodcov a upozornenie na vybočenie z jazdného pruhu. Vedeli by ste mi poradiť ktorú ECU je potrebné nakódovať a čo aktivovať. Kódoval som KOMBI KAFAS a HU_ENTRY. Mám FSC. Aktivuje sa SLI aj varovanie auta. FSC sú tiež akceptované. BMW 2 218d F45.

Try to code BDC_BODY too. Use the VO coding of the 5AS function. With this coding, all control units are coded correctly.

Hi, thanks for sharing the url for the supplier for the SLI FSC code. When I search in RealOEM for the part number you shared, my 2014 F45 is not listed yet I see a previous post where LINUXNUT used the same part number for his 2018 F46. Any idea if this part number is the correct one for my vehicle?

Hi, is it possible VO-code 2VG Performance Control option on a non-M f48? Judging by the parameters it is a software control option which applies brakes to one of to the inner rear wheel during sharp turns to enhance handling. This option is listed in the SALAPA of M-version F48 X1. So looks like ICM is the one to be VO-coded.

Я могу бесплатно поделиться FSC с F45 2017 года. Они будут из моей машины. Вы сможете установить их в свой блок kafas2. И у вас все будет работать. Только заблокировать kafas2 нельзя кодировать через FA.

Does anyone know what to do when getting this error.
I installed a hod emulator to activate traffic jam assist on my f54, it works like a charm but when starting the car it gives a ACC error which disappears after 3 seconds. But like I said, cruise control and traffic jam assist are all working fine.

Let me start by thanking everyone who contributed this thread. My question is about LDW and potential Pedestrian Warning system.

I have factory activated FCW, with KAFAS2 on my f46 2020. Since I already have FSC for FCW, should i VO code 5AD to activate LDW or should i FDL code the relevant ECUs without VO coding as it seems LDW does not require FSC. Does 5AD relate to anything else that might throw an error? (I am not sure if I have vibration tool for steering wheel but a warning sign and sound should suffice for me).

The same question goes to VO code 5AS in case I buy FSC for pedestrian warning. If you have FSC for FCW, SLI, and Pedestrian, can you VO code 5AS without any error showing up? Does it mess with anything else?

Can only answer to f48 5as which is close to the f46 platform. The 5as option will code in high beam assist , ldw, fcw, pcw , sli ( given u have fsc codes& certficates, instal original as ista will remove any fsc on startup ).
the high beam assist needs column switch and coil connection which powers up the steering vibration module ( there is no audio warning just vibration) . Hence an error of wrong variant switch will result on coding 5as
For the ldw as stated above one can code out the lack of vibration module. If u want to install the module u have to choose the correct part no and brand new costs around 300-400 usd. You have to match the exact module ( depends on heated steering, which cruise control u have etc…) . You also need to modify the steering wires to loopout a linbus connection for the module, or buy a new harness (70usd)
For the ldw you will also need the kombi instead of bkombi(basic) to display the lane departure enable lines, they go from orange to green and are gated by around 40miles an hour ( can be coded to lower speed). Again an error might be thrown up in the bkombi (basic kombi) if installed as it might not display the ldw status lines. I am not sure this applies to the f46. Run a cluster display test to see if you have these two lines showing / \ on your display.

As u can see it can quickly become an expensive mod . That is what i can contribute to your question. I have no knowledge of the 5ad option on your model, i suspect it will not work as it is target to older models. In my case i went full installation and i found the ldw quite a useful safety addition particularly on motorways.

Yes you can disable ldw by the idrive. You ve to do it everytime and can be annoying. Pls note that ldw is only vibration there is no sound or alarm on dashboard. The central lines you re are seeing is for the dynamic criuse control. The /\ are very small usually in the bottom left of the display. Best option is to fdl out the vibration module after 5as vo coding. Without the vibrator module the ldw will not function at all. All you have is the status of ldw ( avtive or not) depending on the speed. So there is no visual or audio warning for lane departure. So ldw will not work at all.
Your cluster should be ok if it komb2 .you need 3 fsc codes, one for each pedestrial , sli, and collison wanring ( the collision should be standard for kafas2. For sli uou will need at least entry nav with navigation besides the sli fsc. The speed limits for your country need to be active or else you have to code kafas to ise only camera data. I would vo code 5as and fdl code out hba ( unless present) and bibrator module. You have to remove the 5av option aswell as 5as replaces it .

 

Oh I did not know that there was no sound warning. Then it does not make so much sense.

I bought FSC for SLI and try to FDL code it as described in one of the threads (I appreciate any free launcher as I tried VO code 8TH using Esys that did not work). It is a part of 5AS now I guess.

so my question is whether you can VO disable such systems that are not supported. For instance I heard that SLI can be disabled by 8TD. So any similar way is possible to VO code 5AS and disable systems that are not supported?

5AV is already factory active but I injected SLI recently. FSC accepted but nothing changes. Requires FDL coding on KAFAS2,KOMBI, and HU I guess. I have navigation plus and ENTRYNAV2. Now you said it, actually, I did not try to recode (without any change in FA) on ECUs. I dont know if it makes any difference since 5AV was already there. But I could not do FDL so far since I don't have a launcher pro.

 

Yes with fsc installed and accepted , recode(vo code) kafas2 .
a red rimmed white circle should appear on your display with — in the middle. If you see this than sli is active. If not make sure you do not have the 8td option in your vechicle order. If yes remove it and vo code kafas, komb2 , navi , hud .
if the speed limit does not update you need to fdl code kafas2 to use sli with camera only. Search for sli and from fusion switch to camera.
