Fuse #74 keeps blowing out

Hi, I have a X5 E53 3.0i 2006 and fuse #74 in the trunk keeps blowing out. One day I got into the car and I press the "TEL" button nothing happened. I went to the back and saw that the 10 amp fuse was blown and I simply went and put a new 10 amp fuse. I didn't even get to put the fuse in a little it just blew. I went to the Telephone module and removed it all the wires are good. I check the wires at the radio and it is good as well. Could this mean the module is bad or would there be a wiring issue in the car?

The wires are all good. I disconnected the module and reconnected it. The fuse didn't blow I started the car the Bluetooth work a minute later it blows and the Bluetooth doesn't work. Does this mean that the module is badb

Could be. Those modules have a history of problems. Mine kept draining my battery so I pulled it out. Haven't had that problem since.

Ok I think I found my problem. So I took the module out and opened it up. I look at everything inside and looked to see if I can see any burned spots or black spots. I didn’t find anything wrong so I cleaned the contact points and used an air compressor on everything inside ( of course with only little air pressure). I put everything back together and hooked it up. I popped a new fuse in and it didn’t blow! I started the case waited for a little bit and it was still working. When I used the air compressor on it a little bit of dust came out of certain spots. The dust makes no sense because there isn’t any dust where the module is or at any place in the car.

Fuse #74 Blowing

Dont know if you got this fixed yet but you should do some investigating in the rear drivers side area where the cd changer and bluetooth module are located.. I was having same problem then my radio went out also. I just happened to drop a screw when I was pulled the bluetooth module out and had to reach way down in that pocket and it was full of water. BMW had a big recall for this issue with the water. Just a suggestion.
