Hey, guys. Repairing a pre lci 2016 750i xDrive G12 after an accident to the front. Saw a person selling the whole front support (front bumper carrier, impact absorber, lower front bumper mount etc.) from a 750i not xDrive G11. In bmw dealer parts website it seems that 750i non xDrive G11 front support parts are different to G11 750i xDrive, G12 750i non xDrive, G12 750 xDrive, but these three have the same front support. Seems strange because all the xdrive versions fit and the g12 non xdrive, but the g11 non xdrive does not.
So will the front support of g11 750i non xDrive fit on g12 750i xDrive?

Hope this is not confusing. Thank you for answers.

Did you import a US market G12 LWB 750i xDrive? If so, that model is indeed quite confusing. It was a marketing decision and BMW sold the G12 LWB model with a G11 SWB designation (ie. 750i instead of 750Li) in the US market. These cars have type code "7F23" and the VIN will begin with "WBA7F2C".

European market G11 and G12 vehicles share the same front-end components. However, US and Canadian market vehicles have different front-end components due to the IIHS small-overlap crash test, which is not required by Euro NCAP, and also lack European pedestrian protection features.

If you replace everything forward of the frame rails from a European market donor vehicle, I assume there will not be any fitment issues. Here are the relevant parts diagrams that you can use to compare:

Wow, thanks Robin750. You helped so much, I finally understand why there were unusual (for me) tensioning straps and why I did not find donor cars with straps in Europe. You guessed correct about the US import G12 750i xDrive, the vin code also matches and the website you linked will also be used. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
