Hey guys,

2nd day of ownership and having a problem!
It wasn't like this when I bought it. I applied the Auto park brake then used. Then took it off. Then this error showed!

Damping control Fault!

Damping comfort restricted.
Drive moderatly.
Have the problem checked by a BMW Service as soon as possible.

I have a 735i 2002. (blue) It wasn't there earlier but it is now. The driving doesn't feel like it has been affected so i'm unsure why it's showing this or how to clear it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey guys,
unsure if anyone else is interested but i'll update anyway.
Turns out it's a faulty module. BMW independent faulted this for me close to no time at all. Purchasing a replacement module via eBay and will post another update once it's installed and operational.

Also, sorry about those images being huge, i posted that from my mobile.

Thanks.

Hi team!
So I need some help trying to get to the EDC controller.

I've spent about 3 hours on trying to get to it but cannot.

How can I get to it? I'm struggling to remove the Glovebox itself and this is an image i found but i just can't seem to figure it out.

Could someone help and shed some light please?

Hey team,

so i've managed to remove the glove box finally, that was a small mission but none the less done.
HOWEVER, I don't want to remove all the dash trim. So, is someone able to tell me how to release this cable?

I can almost pull the unit out but this cable pushes up against the rear of the fuses preventing me from pulling it further and after about 30mins of trying to figure this plug, i've come to ask for help.

Please.

I can push it inwards. (to the left) but it kinda moves a wee bit maybe 1mm or 2mm but then stops and I can't pull any further.
Do I pull the tab top right to the right or left?
Thank you for the response!

ALL SORTED.

So, I installed the replacement EDC module and it didn't even needed registering with my car. Fired the car up. No alerts, no faults and no checks.
Now I just need to test it all out. Anyone know how to test?

Thanks guys.
