I thought it would be interesting to see how many miles various folks have on their E39's. Good to state year and model plus overall condition.

I'll start out.

2000 528i automatic
170,000 miles
Great condition and drives very well, plan to go to 200K then 250K hopefully without a major failure such as transmission.

 I am trying to catch you:

238k+ on a 2001 530i/5 with no dash lights or dead pixels. Everything functions on the car with the exception of a broken hose line for the intensive clean. However, the body is with rust. I guess you can win it all. :dunno:

2003 Touring 525i with 280025 as of today--new engine and tranny and new front and back suspension along with front and rear bearings and brakes all around--Heavy duty bushings all around including subframe --car runs and drives better than when I bought it off the showroom floor--1 owner

99 528i with 274,000 on it. Tranny rebuilt in 07. Engine was replaced by original owner at around 92,000 at Scottsdale BMW. Purrs like a kitten, still trying to chase down the cold start clatter though.

97 528i with 185,000. Overhead done a couple years ago, tranny rebuilt in 07. Runs smooth but is in the process of a part-out. Stealing parts from it to recondition the 99.

05/2002 525iT checking in at 184k. Have only had it for 1k miles so far, but rides and operates very smoothly and overall is in great condition.
I had plans to take my old E34 to 300k, but the rust got to it by 220k. I think if I stay ahead of the rust, I'll carry over those plans for the touring! Nice to see most everyone is above 100k, keep up the great work!

At my Indy right now for an oil service and to find that annoying, knuckle-crack sound over bumps at very slow speeds.
heading to Spokane/Idaho tomorrow for 6 rounds of golf in 3 days...I have a client that distributes this product http://www.bgprod.com/catalog/engine/
so I said I'd be his test-mule and I'm using this trip to get a real-world MPG difference.
