ISPI NEXT or ISTA-P?

Hey, this seems to be the best coding forum around. I'm currently running standalone Rheingold and ISTA-P, but I have the option to buy the latest full ISPI NEXT suite for $100. Is there any advantage to doing this? Is the native version any faster or more stable than using the loader? What do you guys run?

Hi,

ISTA-P is only legacy for E-Series. (But F-Series support will be continued until this summer)
If you working only with F-Series than you are good with Next. -->ISPI Next flashing will not work with E-Series

Native has the advantage of being able to update with smaller download files. There is no speed difference; that comes with software tweaks like removing FASTA in ISTA+, computer hardware (eg more ram & SSD), and ICOMs. Note, this is coming from someone who has both standalone versions and latest iLean license.

It's reassuring that the standalone version is good. I have a T420 with an i5, 8gb ram, and an SSD. Is it normal to take 70 seconds to load, and about 4 minutes to fully identify the car in ISTA-P with an ICOM? The ISPI Next license would be offline, so it would still take ~250GB on disc.
