Sup guys, N55 F10 here. current mileage is about 132k, and i have a coolant leak. Got quoted roughly 1,500 for repairs which include the following;

OFHG, OIL COOLER GASKET W/ COOLANT & UPGRADED ALUMINUM MICKEY MOUSE FLANGE. ( NOT BAD TO THE POINT WHERE ITS LEAKING TO THE BELT JUST YET )
COOLANT FLUSH
EXPANSION TANK - assuming the leak is coming from there.

I'm located in north east jersey to be exact, this is an indy shop quote not a dealer, Bimmer Hub is the shops name, i've always done my services there since they are close and fairly priced.

Now this post is just to get a second opinion or 2 cents if this is fairly priced from you lovely people.

I can attach pics of leak & said bad oil filter gasket, just on a work computer have to upload from my phone after..

4.5 hours is not unreasonable. The expansion tank is a bit expensive at $400 (does this include labor), I am used to buying my own OEM parts at much lower prices.

Overall it is a bit high but still within reason. If you know they will do the job right, it is probably OK.

Yeah that’s included with labor. They didn’t give me a time of labor for those 2. But checking the tank it’s holding fluid.. I’m thinking a flange / hose is leaking when it gets warm. No weird noises while the car is on. Passenger floor is dry as well. What are your thoughts ?

It's hard to tell from the video if your expansion tank is leaking. There is a good chance given the location.

The expansion tank is one of the most common leaks. I would just go and change it out. Don't know if you want to go through this trouble and your mechanic will let you. Maybe you could buy an OEM expansion tank and have them put it in.

It isa common one for sure. they would allow me to bring the part but wont have warranty on the part, they provide 2 year warranty with all work with their OEM items. i've replaced the expansion tank once, and a lower rad hose. the tank would leak overnight and keep dripping, this morning when i went out it wasn't a huge puddle. it only leaks when it starts to warm. let it idle for 5 mins cold start and then it will being to leak.
