When my Motorola Razr is plugged into the cigarette lighter, my daily commute isn't far enough each day to keep the phone charged. The lighters, aparently will not charge an accessory when the key is removed from the car. The car manual mentions this as a measure to prevent a child from being harmed by a cigarette lighter when left alone in a car.
So far, my only solution is to charge the phone at home on occassion.
Do any of the power ports in the E60 remain active when the key is removed, such as the rechargeable flashlight port? Alternately, is there another solution? I hate to keep the car charger attached to the phone when I'm driving all the time b/c the charger cord won't allow me to close the center console.
