Sevice engine soon

Does anyone know how to reset the "Sevice engine soon" light on the dash, I recently changed out the alternator and overlooked plugging in the MAF sensor and it set off the service engine soon light, I herd you can reset it without a code reader but can reset it from the dash just like the Sevice resets, any help would be appreciated.

If the fault that caused it is corrected, it'll reset itself after a certain number of post-fix start cycles. If you have a code reader (like INPA), you can see if its a permanent code or a transient one, now that you fixed the problem that caused it. Also, INPA can clear the codes and reset it.
