I have an '02 330Xi, 45,000 miles. Here's the problem: When the road is wet, the brakes get VERY soft with long pedal travel. These conditions persist beyond any " rainy day" braking I have ever experienced. Additionally, the brakes will squeal occasionally during low speed braking as I back up (e.g. backing out of the garage). It's been in the dealership three times now. They have bled the lines, camphored the pads, replaced the fluid and cleaned the rotors, all to no avail. Please advise.

Are these brakes original? By 45K, I would think they have been relaced. Air in the lines would be a guess, but that would be a *constant* problem.When you are stopped, step on the brake pedal and keep substantial pressure on it....does the pedal continue to sink toward the floor?
