The newer BMW's don't have a button. Instead, there are four sets of data in the iDrive: Factory, Since Refueling, Trip, and Individual. The mileage reading in "Factory" is the odometer, and the mileage reading in "Individual" is sort of what used to the manually resettable trip odometer.
On one of the front-engine Porsches (944's?), the trip odometer reset button was in the middle of the air conditioner vent. WTF?
