this morning I found a little brown (as it seems) oil leak coming from the front bumper.

Can't figure out what it can be. Any ideas?

Could be something you slashed through on the roads somewhere. Unless there is a corresponding leak you can find behind the bumper, such as from the AC condenser, oil cooler (which only applies to the 550), or something - I wouldn't worry about it, wash it off.

I swear it looks jut like when my Great Pyrenees peed on mine.
I rubbed my hands all in and was considering tasting to see if it is sweet like coolant. About that time the smell of urine got to my nose.

I can't imagine anything being on the front of the black lower grille bars and then looking to have dribbled behind that wouldn't be external.

Dogs are lacking in the knowledge of fine German automobiles.

Could it be the beginnings of a leaking windshield washer pump grommet? It sits just to the driver's side inside the forward wheel well. My grommet let go and I had a puddle under that corner of the grille. Not sure if the fluid could have migrated it's way over but if you get a low washer fluid warning you'll know where to look next. Also, if that does turn out to be it, all it usually needs is the grommet for the washer pump, not the whole pump. It's a $10 fix that can be done in 15 minutes.
